What’s next
Guided by our commitment to Credible Data, Clearer Picture for a Fairer Industry, we will continue to use data and research to make television more inclusive and more representative of society.
Diamond
In September, we will launch a new enhanced version of Diamond which will deliver enriched data collection, better useability for individuals and improved reporting features for broadcasters and production companies.
CDN and TAP
CDN and the TV Access Project (TAP) will continue to work closely together.
By combining our knowledge and experience, we will accelerate progress towards a more accessible and inclusive industry for disabled people.
Research and reports
We will continue to publish research and reports to track progress and highlight areas where more work is required.
This includes two new reports: one on race and religion, and the other on socio-economic diversity. Both reports will be published later this year.
Partnerships and collaboration
We will strengthen collaboration with broadcasters, universities, trade unions and industry partners to drive meaningful change across the sector.
Current projects include:
• Channel 4 research on socio-economic diversity
• Bectu’s TV Drama Production Race Action Plan
• Sir Lenny Henry Centre research project
• Bournemouth University research into disability and media representation
Working together
By sharing evidence and working collectively, we can help create a television industry that is more representative, accessible and inclusive for everyone.
